Smashing Pumpkins Last Night

Went to see the Pumpkins at the Hordern with Lach (my bro) last night and they went off! I saw them when they were here in '99 and have to say I enjoyed their old style better but there was no faulting them for the 10 year hiatus and new band line up (who it seems are better musos than the old team but look weirdly similar - Eurasian guy and blond chick - marketing ploy?)

Great review of the gig here with photos.

Amefufuka - He is risen!

Amefufuka qweli - he is risen indeed!

One of the few Kiswahili phrases I can remember from our time living in Tanzania. Easily recalled as I hear it every year on Easter Sunday from my family as we remember Jesus death and resurrection.

Jesus is risen from the dead. Read more here!

Ocean's 13

Just saw this with Nic while Kate was at the ballet with Mum, Claire, Joy & Mickey. Fair trade I think. Scotty asked for a review so here it is. No spoilers, I promise...

Two words: very cool!

May We Remember Them

My Grandfather on Dad's side was a POW on the Burma railway in WWII. My Great Grandfather on Mum's side was a survivour of the first Gallipoli landings.
