Tonight I finished Halo 3 and then the Wallabies were beaten by the English in the first quarter final and eliminated from the Rugby World Cup 2007.

Tips

I joined the my school's Old Boys tipping comp for the Rugby World Cup. I'm coming second, equal with 175 others who all picked France to win - only 3 guys saw the Argentina upset coming. The next round should sort out the ranks a little more with some close match ups. My tips for the next round are below. I've never been in a tipping comp before so we'll see how we go!

Australia 91 - Japan 3

Nic and Hammm joined me for the Wallabies domination of the Cherry Blossoms.

Our highlights - Sterling Mortlock called "Captain Insaneo" by the commentators, Rocky Elsom's hat trick, Berreck Barnes try in his first test ever within 2 minutes of coming on (then a second), George Smith's hit then steal then try, a bigger score and margin than NZ over Italy (no tries agaist us either), Chris Latham's double kick and try (on his birthday no less). Looking good!

New Zealand 76 - Italy 14

Ouch! Though I'm surprised the All Blacks let in 2 tries???
Highlights here.

France 12 - Argentina 17

Big upset in the first match of the Rugby World Cup with Argentina (Pumas) beating the much favoured RWC hosts France (Les Bleus) 17 - 12. Argentina scored the first try of the Cup! Watch the highlights here.

Looking forward to tonight!
